Information for trade exhibitors

About the venue site

If you have explored the Dartington website at all you will quickly realise that this is a rural site.  Everything is reasonably self-contained and within an easy walk, although the site is hilly so if you have difficulty negotiating steep hills please allow for additional time to move around.

Parking onsite

In order for you to allow time to arrive on time at your space, this is a guide to the walking distance between the various spaces. Studio 1, Studio 3, Studio 5 and the Garden Room are all in the same building and are less than two minutes apart from one another.  The Great Hall is in the main courtyard area and is a 5-minute walk across lawned areas or 7-8 minutes by paved road. Pretty much everything else is also within a maximum of 10 minutes walking time. If you have difficulty walking up steep hills, allow a little additional time.

There is a daily charge for parking. If you are staying onsite you will get a free parking permit when you register with Guest Reception.

Your stand

We are accommodating 13 trade stands at Evolving the Forest.

Each stand is a white folding table approx 180cm wide by 78cm deep. There will be room behind for one or two pull-ups, and two chairs. A single 13 socket will be provided.  All tables will be allocated in advance, most will be sited at SPACE in the foyers outside Studios 1, 3, and 6 and in the garden room outside Studio 5.  This is with the exception of Tillhill Forestry and Dartington Hall Trust, who will have stands in the Great Hall.   We will have put your table out for you by the time you arrive on Wednesday morning, and label this table as yours.  We will have staff and stewards on hand to help you find your table when you arrive.

Load-in area

Because of a recent fire in an adjacent building vehicular access is currently restricted. We have made special arrangements for you to drive up directly to the building, but we will need to meet you at the gate to let you in.

Please contact Cat Radford in advance by email (cat@artdotearth.org) to give us advance notice of your arrival time so that we can make someone available to meet you.  Cat will give you her mobile number so that you can ring when you arrive.

Once the gate has been opened for you, you can drive up directly to Space reception where you can unload. Once you have finished unloading you will need to move your vehicle right away and head to one of the car parks.

Timings

Please load in before noon on Wednesday June 19. Please note however that the nexus of the conference on the Wednesday is the Great Hall which is in a different part of the estate (five minutes away). You will not get many visitors on the first day.

We recommend that you focus your attendance at the stand during periods when conference is not in session. This is when you are most likely to have people visiting the stand. Check the programme for details.

Please load out after the final event has closed which will be around 1600 on Friday June 21.

Wi-fi

There is guest wifi internet available throughout the site. It is a little slow but fine for most things. You will need to create a guest logon when you arrive. If you are staying on site ask at reception for a logon code; or you can also ask at Conference Reception.
